Keja Klaasje Kwestro wins Theo D'or 2026!
Actrice Keja Klaasje Kwestro poseert met twee andere winnaars met haar Theo D'or, gewonnen voor haar rol in F*CK LOLITA, voor een powerpoint scherm met felle kleuren.

She was fi-nal-ly nominated and Peter Pannekoek would eat his shoes if she didn’t win. Luckily for him, and for us, that doesn’t have to happen. Because prouder than proud we can announce that Keja has won the Theo d'Or for most impressive acting performance in a leading role for her role in F*CK LOLITA. A fantastic icing on the cake for this production directed by Silke van Kamp, which was truly showcased for the last time during the Dutch and Flemish Theatre Festival this past weekend.

Rarely has the portrayal of a character made such an impression according to the VSCD Theatre Jury. “Kwestro gives Dolores a depth that goes far beyond anger. Her character is funny, sharp, smart, sophisticated, needy, sensual, childish, and wise. With her originality, courage, and technical virtuosity, and the nuance in her psychological interpretation, Kwestro embodies our screaming need for a unique voice.”

And not only Keja won awards. Last Friday, writer Annet Bremen received the Theatre Writing Prize 2026! Fully deserved, as she created a quirky, meaningful, and complex duet between Lolita and Humbert Humbert. “With fire, with the virtuosity of a language acrobat, and with craftsmanship firmly embedded in thorough research, Annet Bremen claims a very relevant issue and rewrites it,” the jury writes about the winning text.

If you’ve missed F*CK LOLITA, unfortunately, you are really too late. But… you can expect the latest creation from director Silke van Kamp I like Art and Art Likes Me in theaters starting in October. In this performance, van Kamp organizes a fictional meeting between Hitley and Beuys, which could have changed the course of history if it had taken place! You definitely won’t want to miss it.
