Last Thursday, Boomer Galore premiered at the Parade Amsterdam in a sold-out Cuatro. The audience was already queuing early to secure a spot in the ring of this Battle of the Generations. From the very first seconds, strong blows were exchanged. Emotions ran high among both millennials and boomers. Who walked out as the winner? That's still a secret. But according to the Volkskrant, Boomer Galore is “a celebration of clichés and familiarity: the delicate millennial versus the bumbling boomer.”. 

“Director Silke van Kamp wonderfully exaggerates the differences between the characters. Biesheuvel is perfect as the bumbling, not very tech-savvy manager Ruurd, who often crosses boundaries and finds it funny too. Haan, who flirts very charmingly with the audience, is one big millennial cliché: Stanley cup in hand, trip to Bali booked, using phrases like ‘just check in’ or ‘kladiladi’ (slap that laptop shut).”, according to the Volkskrant.
