This year, the jury shortlisted three plays: alongside F*CK LOLITA, these are No Man’s Land by Giovanni Brand (produced by No Mad Is Me) and Yellowcake, Little Boy by Stijn Devillé (produced by Het nieuwstedelijk). The jury wrote the following about F*CK LOLITA: “With passion and an ingenious form, Annet Bremen tackles an urgent social issue. This play not only changes your perspective, but also challenges society to stop looking the other way.”
This is the second nomination for Annet Bremen, who was previously nominated in 2023 for Het Sterrehuis. The production F*CK LOLITA is also part of the official selection for the Dutch Theatre Festival, and lead actor and ensemble member Keja Klaasje Kwestro has been nominated for a Theo d’Or.
The winner of the Playwriting Prize will be announced on 11 September during the Dutch Theatre Festival and will receive 10.000 euros.
P.S. F*CK LOLITA can still be seen in the theatre on 11 and 12 September.
P.P.S. The textbooks are still available via our webshop.
