Last Sunday, Byzantium premiered, the first in our premiere triathlon. Byzantium had already played in Belgium for three weeks at Kunstencentrum nona, but on Sunday March 29th, we went full‑on and kicked off the Dutch tour. Schouwburg en Concertzaal Tilburg was filled with a hungry audience, ready for the theatrical closing of restaurant Byzantium.
There was dating, baking, cremating, pacts were sealed, but above all, a rich and wild spectacle was served, full of wine, blood, sweat, and spruzzelporridge. What was it like? Hallucinatory, dark, foul, and according to NRC, “hilariously funny.” And now? We want more!
After this first treat for the taste buds, we look forward to the next two premieres in the upcoming weeks (Café Brabant on April 5th & Saved Game on April 10th).
And of course, don’t miss Byzantium, on tour until May 9. Stop by and let us treat you to an unforgettable evening.
