Are you a passionate gamer? Or are you that parent who has no idea what is happening in your child's virtual world? In Saved Game actress Julia Ghysels plays a mother who loses her child and logs into his game.
At that moment, she loses herself, both in the game and in the play. She plays all the characters on her own. Emotion is guaranteed in Saved Game, a performance about grief and virtual healing through play.

What do you actually know about gaming, griefing, and respawns*? And what happens when real life mixes with pixels and power-ups? Whether you are a hardcore gamer or have no idea what a controller actually does, we will warm you up for a performance full of emotion, adventure and digital worlds. Ready to play?
* Respawns (from to respawn = to appear again) is a term from the gaming world. It means that a character or player comes back to life after being defeated or "dead" in a game.
Are you attending Saved Game with your class? A good preparation is key! In addition to the choice of a workshop, you could also choose to attend an introduction or hold an introduction in class. During the interactive introduction, you will get to know Het Zuidelijk Toneel, the creators, the actors and the story a little better. You will receive insights that the other audience does not have, and you will understand or recognize the creators' choices during the viewing. Isn't that great?!
The introduction takes place on the day of the performance at school. The introduction lasts 60 minutes and costs €150,-. The maximum group size is 50 students. Combined with a workshop, you have a really good preparation!
