In Silence of the Dogs Ada Ozdogan depicts the resistance of a lonely woman in a hectic and threatening world. She does this again after the successful Holly Goosebumps with a sly nod to the film world: Hitchcockian suspense meets Tarantino-esque violence meets Chantal Akerman's eye for the female experience. 

On hot summer days, a woman seeks relief between the kitchen table and the window. The TV shows images, a star sparkles in the window. A stray dog shares her solitude. An intrusive neighbor appears more and more often at the window, at the door, and eventually in the house. Why is there blood on the floor? 

In Silence of the Dogs, Ada Ozdogan portrays the resistance of a lonely woman: an exciting, cinematic story full of suspense and threat. The audience pieces the story together themselves.

To prepare the class extra well, we are very happy to come by to give an introduction in the classroom. Within an hour, we will get your class (and secretly you too) ready with all the important, bizarre, and secret info about the story, the creators, and the actors in the performance. This way, your theater visit will be even more fun!

Practical information

The introduction is given at school on the day of the performance. The introduction lasts 60 minutes and costs €165,-. The maximum group size is 50 students. Combined with a workshop, you’ll have an excellent preparation!
