With that show, we narrowly succeeded in saving the imagination of doom. This time, we are pulling out all the stops. Een leuk avondje uit is a musical about emotions. And what happens when you try to suppress them.

Emotions run high in this performance. Sadness, fear, love, shame, joy, and loneliness all get their own spectacular show number. And behind the scenes, too, there is a whole range of emotions. While the musical stars sing and dance as if their lives depend on it, backstage they try to keep their strongest feelings at bay. But that's not easy. Especially when you're human. Will they manage to keep themselves in check? Or will their emotions steal the show? Stop thief!
Director
Jetse Batelaan is a director and, since 2013, artistic director of Theater Artemis. He has an eye for people who struggle, and with that eye he creates visual, imaginative, and clear theater that surprises and moves. His approach is radical. In recent years, he has won several nominations and awards, including for the co-productions Het verhaal van het verhaal (The Story of the Story) and Een leuk avondje uit (A Fun Night Out).
