Het Zuidelijk Toneel is the main company of the south of the Netherlands, based in our hometown of Tilburg. Starting in 2025, we will chart a new course with Sarah Moeremans as the first female artistic director and a permanent ensemble of six exciting performers. Together with these six flagships, several talented creators and inspiring partners, we storm the large and small halls of theaters and festivals throughout the Netherlands and Flanders. Additionally, we have an exclusive Brabant project every year. Het Zuidelijk Toneel creates performances for a broad segment of the population; everyone is welcome and will leave the halls excited by new ideas, a sense of community and humor.

We want to offer interns a challenging workplace where you can discover and learn a lot. Our focus in the coming years will be on sustainability, which will play a significant role during your internship period. 

What will you do? 

During your internship at the production department, you will assist the production leader with production tasks and their execution. You will have contact with the artistic team, consult with colleagues from other departments, and contribute ideas to all logistical and production challenges that come with producing performances.

Are you?

  • An independent and entrepreneurial student enrolled in a theater school, focusing on production, directing, or theater studies
  • Eager to learn and curious 
  • Capable of working independently 
  • Strong in communication 
  • Someone who enjoys being out in the evenings and on weekends
